SportsVerse ("SportsVerse," "we," "us") is a training and competition app for student-athletes, coaches, and the people who support them. This policy explains, in plain language, what we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to the SportsVerse iOS app and the website at sportsverse.pro (together, the "Service").
Account information. Email address, name, username, password (stored only as a secure hash), date of birth, account type (athlete, coach, guardian, or brand), school, graduation year, sport(s) and position, and city and state. We use your date of birth to confirm you meet our age requirement and to apply protections for users under 18.
Content you create. Posts, comments, photos, videos, direct messages, challenge entries, and event registrations.
Training, health & fitness data. Workouts, sets and reps, personal records, live-session stats, schedule entries, nutrition logs and meal photos, body measurements you choose to enter, and film / form analysis results. This data is used to power your dashboards, your Overall rating, and recommendations. It is never used for advertising.
Communications. Messages you send to our support team and your notification preferences.
When you use the Service we receive basic technical information needed to run and secure it: IP address, device and browser type, app version, and server logs (for example, sign-in times and errors). We use essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and remember settings. We do not use third-party advertising cookies, ad identifiers (IDFA), or tracking pixels.
The app only asks for a permission when you use a feature that needs it. You can change these at any time in your device settings; the rest of the app keeps working without them.
Your profile, public posts, and challenge entries can be seen by other SportsVerse users. Direct messages are visible only to the people in the conversation (and to our team when needed to review a report or enforce our Terms). Coaches can see attendance and workouts you share with a team you join. Linked guardians can see information described in section 9.
Some features use Anthropic's Claude API to generate results — for example meal photo analysis, schedule screenshot import, film and form review, AI coach chat, and training briefings and scouting reports. When you use one of these features, the content you choose to analyze (such as a meal photo, a schedule screenshot, frames from your film, or your chat messages) along with relevant training context is sent to Anthropic to generate the result. We ask for your permission before the first time this happens.
Under Anthropic's commercial terms, content sent through the API is not used to train their AI models. AI voice commentary is generated by ElevenLabs from text we create; no recordings of your voice are sent for this feature.
AI output can be wrong. It is not medical, nutritional, or professional advice — talk to a coach, trainer, or doctor before changing your training or diet.
We share personal information only with service providers that help us run SportsVerse, under contracts that limit their use of it to providing services to us:
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the safety of a person (especially a minor), to investigate abuse, or as part of a merger or acquisition (in which case this policy continues to apply). We do not sell or rent personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or allow third-party advertisers or data brokers in the app.
SportsVerse is for people 13 and older. Children under 13 may not create an account. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 13, we will delete the account and its data. If you believe a child under 13 is using SportsVerse, contact us at support@sportsverse.io.
For users aged 13–17 we add extra protections:
Parents and guardians can contact us at support@sportsverse.io to ask about, review, or delete their child's information.
We keep your information while your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your profile and the content and data tied to it from our live systems right away, and from backups within 30 days. We may keep limited records longer when required by law or to resolve disputes, or in de-identified form that can no longer be linked to you.
You can delete your account in the app at Settings > Delete account. Deletion is permanent and removes your account, profile, posts, comments, photos and videos, direct messages you sent, workouts and training history, nutrition and schedule data, challenge entries, team memberships, and notification settings. You can also email us to request deletion.
Wherever you live, you can ask us to access, correct, download, or delete your personal information, and you can edit most of it directly in the app. Depending on where you live (for example, California under the CCPA/CPRA, or the EU/UK under the GDPR) you may have additional rights, such as to know what categories of information we collect and why, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to complain to your local data protection authority. We will not treat you differently for exercising your rights. To make a request, email support@sportsverse.io; we may need to verify your identity first. Where the GDPR applies, we process data to provide the Service you asked for (contract), for safety and security (legitimate interests), and with your consent for optional features such as AI analysis.
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS) and at rest, hashed passwords, access controls, and rate limiting to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and tell us right away if you think your account has been compromised.
If we make material changes we will update the effective date above and let you know in the app or by email before the changes take effect.
